Why Briarwood

What a medical level of care buys you

01

Assessed first

A physical and psychological evaluation before admission — nothing is recommended until someone has actually looked.

02

Never left alone

Continuous nursing observation, with medication used when a clinician judges it appropriate.

03

Held privately

Staff work to HIPAA rules and you decide what is shared. Detox does not have to be public to your employer or family.

04

Fed properly

Meals prepared by a dietician and a professional chef — recovery is physical before it is anything else.

Questions

Before you call

What does medical detox actually mean?

Withdrawal managed by clinical staff in a licensed facility with round-the-clock monitoring, rather than attempted alone at home. Admission follows a medical and psychiatric assessment, staff monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms 24/7, and medication is used when a clinician judges it appropriate.

How long will I be here?

Most clients spend five to seven days detoxing at Briarwood. Your assessment determines the actual length — it depends on the substance, how long you have used it, and your medical history.

Will my insurance cover it?

We are in network with most major carriers. Admissions will verify your benefits directly with your insurer, free and with no obligation to admit. You do not need to work it out before you call.

Will anyone find out?

Staff work to HIPAA rules and you decide what is shared. If you do not want information going to family, friends or an employer, say so and it will not.

What happens when detox ends?

Detox stabilises you; it is not the whole of treatment. Every stay ends with a plan for what follows — residential rehab, outpatient rehab or sober living, all run by Briarwood.
